Introduction to North Coast Freediving

Most freediving courses are geared after the Mediterranean model done in deep, warm water. Even the PADI program has expanded their approach to meet the tropical model. So we have designed our own program applying those same tried and proven practices, while incorporating the unique demands of colder, north coast diving. We will meet at the dive location @ 8:30 am and start with a discussion, followed by a freedive. The dive could last from 1-3 hours depending on everyone’s stamina and ocean conditions.

Prerequisites: Minimum age 15. Please print and fill out prior to equipment check at SEALS

Course content: Learn to think like a diver, dive planning, evaluating conditions, planning for emergencies, diving hazards, communication, fishing regulations and laws , breathing techniques, equalizing, weight check , proper use of equipment and more.
