PADI Pool training dives (private pool)
Ready to Dive into the Adventure of a Lifetime?
Join us for a fun, hands-on pool training session where you’ll learn the essentials of scuba diving in a safe, controlled environment. The session begins in shallow water, so you'll gradually get comfortable before venturing into the deep end—all under the guidance of our professional instructors. You will learn the basics of scuba diving, including:
- Equipment preparation and care
- Using your dive computer
- Buoyancy control
- Adapting to the underwater environment
- Most importantly, how to dive safely
Your Safety is Our Priority
Before signing up, please review and fill out the PADI Medical Form. This form will ensure that you're ready for the physical demands of scuba diving. If prompted by the questionnaire, you may need a doctor’s approval, so complete the form early in case you need to schedule an appointment.
Important: There are no refunds for failing to complete the medical form.
Required Personal Snorkeling Equipment
Personal snorkeling equipment is not included in the course fee or rental package. We recommend you own the following:
- Mask
- Snorkel
- Fins
- Surface Marker Buoy (SMB)
- Safety Whistle
If you plan to do your ocean dives in California, you will also need: - Neoprene Boots
- Hood
- Gloves
All other scuba gear will be provided at a $25 weekend rental rate (a $95 value). Standard rental rates apply for late returns.
Rental Equipment Pick-Up & Return
- Pick-up: Friday or Saturday before class.
- Return: Monday after class (gear must be washed before returning).
Tip: Consider purchasing your own scuba gear prior to class and getting comfortable with it during your training. As a student, you’ll receive a Lifetime Discount at Seals Watersports—just introduce yourself when you come in!
Reserve Your Gear
Come by the shop as soon as possible to reserve your rental gear. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Make sure to fill out the Student Form below to help us with your sizing.
Class Cancellation Policy
We ask that you commit to your date when signing up. Please note:
- Cancel or reschedule up to 3 weeks prior with a 4% processing fee.
- Cancellations or changes after the 3-week deadline will incur a $50 fee.
- Starting 1 week before class, there are no refunds for cancellations or transfers. You will need to pay and additional instructor fee of $100 for rescheduling.
- Failure to show up or call will result in forfeiting your tuition.
- Tuition is non-refundable once class begins, completed or not.
If you need a physician’s release, rescheduling follows the same policy.
Please review the medical form carefully before signing up. Rescheduling due to needing a physician’s approval is subject to the same cancellation policy.
Training Day Details
- Time: 9:00 AM – approximately 5:00 PM. Please arrive 15 minutes early and bring your gear to the pool.
- Location: Private residence

| Requirements: | You must first complete the PADI Open Water Diver E-learning. Paperwork needed to participate: Diver medical, E-learning final exam, student record folder, and PADI App. Students need to provide their own personal equipment. Mask, snorkel, fins, surface marker buoy, and whistle. You will also need boots, gloves and a hood. Please come in to the store ASAP so we can have you fitted and reserve your rental gear for training. You will need to pick up your rental equipment from SEALS Friday before your class and return in the Monday after class. If you already have your own equipment you MUST bring it into the store for a gear check. If you don't bring equipment in for a gear check, we will require you to rent or purchase equipment. |
