PADI Open Water Training Dives

You will repeat what you did in the swimming pool during four Open Water Dives over two days, lodging not included.

Required Personal Equipment: You will need your own Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Neoprene Boots, Diver Logbook, Surface marker buoy, and Whistle.
We also recommend your own Hood and Gloves. Seals Watersports has a great selection of gear and knowledgeable staff to help you get fitted. Students get a lifetime discount in the store so make sure to introduce yourself when you come in.

Scuba Equipment needed for Open Water Dives is included with the price of tuition. We can also help you select your own equipment prior to class so you can train in your own gear. You will need a Regulator with Octopus, Computer w/compass, Buoyancy Compensator, Wetsuit, Hood, Gloves, and Weight, and 2 Tanks. 

Cancellation Policy
We ask that you are committed to your dates before you sign up for class. Class tuition is not changeable and is non-refundable once signed up. However if you need to a cancel, please do so no less than 10 days prior to your class and you will be put on standby for a future class with availability. Failure to show up or call will forfeit your tuition.
If you do not complete all of your Open Water Dives, Private Dives can be scheduled at an additional cost.
Tuition is non-refundable once your class begins, completed or not. 
Please review the medical form before signing up. Rescheduling due to needing a physician's release is subject to our policy above.


Map to Monterey (San Carlos Beach)

9am sharp - approximately 3pm. Please arrive 15 minutes early to secure parking and bring your gear to the beach.
Be prepared to refill tanks after the first day (approximately $15).

Materials Included: We provide bcd, regulator with computer, wetsuit, tank and weights.
Requirements: You must first complete the PADI Open Water Diver E-learning, and your Pool Training dive. Paperwork needed to participate: Diver medical, E-learning final exam, logbook and student record folder. Students need to provide their own personal equipment. Mask, snorkel, fins, safety marker buoy, and whistle. You will also need boots, gloves and a hood if you plan on doing your Open Water Dives in California. We will supply the rest of the equipment. Please come in to the store ASAP so we can have you fitted and reserve your gear for training. You will need to pick up your rental equipment from SEALS the Thursday or Friday before your class and return in the Monday after class. If you already have your own equipment you MUST bring it into the store for a gear check. If you don't bring equipment in for a gear check, we will require you to rent or purchase equipment.
